Cost Manager

Increased use of mobile telephony makes it more important to take control of this area, especially when personal services are becoming more frequent.

In fixed telephony only 20% of costs come from traffic, the rest are subscription costs. For mobile telephony it is the reverse: 80% are traffic costs and charges for various services.

Information direct from PBXs and operators

Traffic data, usage patterns and employees’ calls 24-hours per day are stored in the Cost Manager’s database. Many mobile calls during holidays, evenings and weekends might be a rather expensive ‘soft’ benefit. Collated statistics and tools enabling trend analysis facilitate rapid detection of changed costs in groups or individual subscriptions.

Knowledge ensures better decisions

Optimal agreements and optimal infrastructure are easier to achieve if the effects of different types of agreements or different technical solutions can be simulated. (What happens if we subscribe our mobiles to a ‘flat rate’?) When purchasing, facts about traffic patterns and cost structure are extremely valuable. Trend reports make it possible to be pro-active; changes in traffic volumes and costs are reported as well as max/min reporting.

Pay the correct amount in any currency

Cost Manager facilitates invoice controls, especially useful when more than one telecom operator is used. Verifying becomes easier because correct amounts are paid and a new price level is considered. Many price lists for a number of agreements can be followed up – even on the same PBX. This type of support includes ‘happy hour’ prices for specific times, days and dates. Cost Manager helps avoid costs related to unused equipment or to a person ‘not employed’. The system knows who is using specific items and how long a former employee’s mobile should be blocked.
